Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival: 10 Days, 10 Nights of Mind Blowing Music, Arts & Sports

From April 8-17, 2005 the world's top Skiers & Riders make Whistler their home for the week, as they compete in the World Skiing & Snowboarding Invitational. The granddaddy of all freeskiing events, the World Skiing Invitational draws massive crowds to see the pros throw huge tricks for $50,000. With $50,000 on the line, riders are also primed to go big and lay it all on the line. The Invitational is an unforgettable weekend of snowboard action, outdoor concerts, and epic parties

The festival is not just about Skiing & Riding there's also the DKNY JEANS OUTDOOR CONCERT SERIES. Featuring a stellar line-up of more than 20 major hip-hop, rock and punk acts, the DKNY JEANS Outdoor Concert Series soundtracks the Festival action and is North America's largest FREE outdoor concert series. There's also the art competition, Masterpiece in Motion, the first international Snowboard Art competition of its kind, as well as a Film Maker showdown, Rail Sessions, Bike trials, Comedy Night and even a Dogfest.
